D&AD AWARD WINNING ADVERT

Congratulation to Graphic Design student Sarah Kellock who picked up a yellow pencil from the D&AD NEW Blood Awards for a Giff Gaff advertisement. Sarah wrote the copy and Julian Watkiss (Square One) produced the video and was assisted by runner and student, Joseph Arkell.
The aim of Sarah's story was to highlight elements of the past, present, and future, while incorporating what the brand stands for.
The video was intended as a pitch to accompany the dialogue and the shoot took a couple hours to film and choreograph. It enhances the tone of Sarah's story by combining rural and urban visuals, including green spaces, walls, bridges and graffiti. The location is synonymous with the link between old and new and represents the network of communities all around the UK.
It's always great fun to work with my students and both Sarah and Joe are exceptional talents.
